july 2018
Well, If you've been following along for quite a while you know that we're big Fixer Upper fans (before Fixer Upper was even a thing!). We have this passion (and creativity) for turning items into things we love! Nothing falls short of this, in fact it started in 2015 when Matthew bought his first home.
Day 1 we were in there tearing up the nasty carpet and laying hardwood floors.. need I mention we bought the cheapest hardwoods possible and not only installed them ourselves, but also HAND SANDED and STAINED the entire house.. whew that was a doozy.
Once we got married in May 2017, we knew we'd need a bigger house and closer to civilization as I liked to say (I mean only having cell service when the crappy wifi would work didn't cut it for me).
In July 2018 a house fell into our laps.... FOR A BARGIN! We snatched it up and day 1 were in there gutting the hall bathroom down to the bones! From the all new PRE-FINISHED hardwood floors, to the new molding and trim to the shiplap ceiling in our living room, we're finally starting to see progress. Oh, and did I forget to mention we ripped out an entire wall in our foyer and a fireplace in our living room? No big deal!
If you like the idea of DIY home remodeling then you're in the right place. The project is ever changing and we still have lots to tackle, but follow along for updates on this crazy adventure we got ourselves into!
